The 250 bed Sagar Apollo Hospital multi-speciality
hospital set up at Bangalore was inaugurated on 24 July 2002, at the hands of the
Karnataka state chief minister, Mr S M Krishna.
The Rs.70 crore hospital has been set up in joint
venture with Apollo Hospitals, which would be contributing through its brand
name, expertise and technology, and management services.
The medical specialities of the 250 bed hospital would
include allergy clinic, anaesthesiology, andrology, cardiac bypass surgery,
cosmetic surgery, dental, dermatology, diabetology, ENT, gastroenterology
(medical / surgical), laboratory services, internal medicine, neonatology,
nephrology, etc.
While the medical facilities and the support services
would include 6 presidential suites, 7 modern operations theatres, 10 day care
beds, 20 private rooms, 32 general wards for males and females, 60 beds for
intensive care, annual health screening programmes, blood bank, day & night
cafeteria and pharmacy, maternity care, paediatric ICU, etc.
The hospital, spread over 1.3 lakh sq ft, would have
a panel of about 150 consultants and 50 specialists.
