The Urban Administration & Development Department of Madhya Pradesh is planning to open bids for work related to metro rail services in Bhopal and Indore.
Following which, the DPR for the project is likely to start soon. The bids have been invited for preparation of DPR for metro rail services in Bhopal and Indore. The metro rail project spread over 28.5 km stretch in Bhopal is likely to cost an estimated investment of Rs 6,000 crore. In Indore the metro rail will run on 32.16 km at an estimated cost of Rs 7,500 crore.
Meanwhile, the Madhya Pradesh Government is also planning to build 24 overbridges in Bhopal. Of this it has commissioned one overbridge at the Jyoti Talkies square.
So far the state government has invest around Rs 3,900 crore on development works in urban areas of the state including drinking water schemes and creation of infrastructure.
