Dell, the technology major, has come up with a new cloud-based solution, focusing on the healthcare market in India.
The company is planning to target mid-sized hospitals or hospitals having a 100-bed facility or above or smaller in size, but are part of a chain like Cloudnine, VisionCare etc.
Initially, in India, the company had come up with a three year business plan, which will be monitored for 18 months. If things go in favour of the company, they will expand this cloud-based solution business to China and Latin America.
The new cloud-based healthcare solution by Dell has an all-in-one feature, which will include finance, procurement, ERP and HR. It can be accessed by end-users such as physicians, nurses and back office staff. The cloud-based solution will be delivered under the Software-as-a-Service model and the user will have to pay depending on the usage of the program.
Dell has also partnered with Ubq Technologies and Ramco Systems to deliver an end-to-end proposition to providers. Ubq's hospital information system solution, medics, will serve as the front-end application for patient-centric activities and integrate with Ramco ERP on cloud to provide customers, enterprise-wide applications on cloud.
