The new multi-speciality building at Mumbai's historic Sir JJ Hospital is in its final phase of construction, with an expected handover by December 2025.
The state-of-the-art complex includes four interconnected blocks (A, B, C, D) with two basement levels, a ground floor, and ten upper floors. Block A, B, and C have completed reinforced cement concrete (RCC) work, with ongoing tasks such as painting, plumbing, electrical fittings, and fire safety system installations. Lift rooms and water tanks are also under construction.
In Block D, the 10th floor and terrace slab are completed, and work continues on lift rooms, water tank installation, and interior finishing. Dr Ajay Bhandarwar, Dean of Sir JJ Hospital, confirmed that patient care is expected to begin in mid-2025, with the full facility operational by the end of the year.
