1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

GMR Smart Electricity receives LoA for smart metering project in UP

On 13 September, 2023, GMR Smart Electricity Distribution (GSEDPL) received a letter of award (LoA) from Dakshinanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam (DVVNL) to execute a smart metering project in Uttar Pradesh.

GSEDPL, a former step-down subsidiary of GMR Power and Urban Infra (GPUIL), will implement the project in the Dakshinanchal (Agra and Aligarh zones). The work involves the installation, integration, and maintenance of 25.52 lakh smart meters.

The estimated contract value for these zones is nearly Rs 2,469.71 crore, and will be executed in a span of 27 months from the date of the contract, and operations will be carried out for 93 months.

Similarly, the company has been awarded LoA by Purvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam (PUVVNL) on 03 September, 2023, for the project to install 50.17 lakh smart meters in Purvanchal (Varanasi, Azamgarh zone and Prayagraj, Mirzapur zone).

This advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) project will run for 10 years on design, build, finance, own, operate and transfer (DBFOOT) basis. It will be implemented under a revamped distribution sector scheme (RDSS) and is expected to minimise the aggregate technical and commercial (AT&C) losses in the designated area.
