The Goa State Cabinet has approved the Goa State Logistics and Warehousing Incentives Scheme, 2025, to strengthen the state’s position as a logistics hub.
The scheme will run for three years and aligns with the Goa Logistics and Warehousing Policy, 2023, as well as national initiatives like PM GatiShakti and the National Logistics Policy. It aims to enhance infrastructure, support private sector participation, and drive skill development. Incentives include reimbursement of 10-15 percent of eligible fixed capital investment, capped at Rs 50 lakh per unit, and a 50 percent interest subsidy for 3-5 years, up to Rs 25 lakh per annum.
The government will also provide 100 percent reimbursement of stamp duty and registration charges, subject to Rs 10 lakh, and electricity duty reimbursement for cold chain units, capped at Rs five lakh annually. Additionally, eligible entities will receive Rs 5,000 per Goan worker as a skill development subsidy, covering up to 1,000 workers per year. Employment eligibility requires 60 percent Goan workforce for full benefits.
