The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has announced plans to develop Sector-8F near Noida International Airport into a dedicated logistics and warehousing hub.
The decision, taken during YEIDA's board meeting on 06 September, 2025, comes in anticipation of the airport’s upcoming operations, including cargo flights. According to officials, the airport is expected to handle nearly two million tonne of cargo from day one, with much of the export demand currently managed through Delhi’s IGI Airport. Shailendra Bhatia, officer on special duty at YEIDA, stated, “Sector-8F, being close to the airport, will facilitate easy storage and transportation of goods. A consultant will be appointed shortly to determine how the sector will be developed.” The consultant’s study will guide the layout plan, including plot sizes and related infrastructure, to roll out future schemes.
YEIDA is simultaneously pushing forward with plans for a major multimodal logistics park (MMLP) at Tappal Bajna, about 10 km from the Noida airport, to further strengthen cargo connectivity and industrial growth in the region.
