Gurugram’s proposed 35.2 km elevated metro line from Sector-56 to Pachgaon is nearing approval, with the detailed project report (DPR) set to be submitted to the Haryana government within a week.
Estimated at Rs 8,500 crore, the corridor will include 28 stations and improve connectivity between key residential and industrial hubs across Gurugram and Manesar. Prepared by RITES, the DPR is under review by the Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation (HMRTC). Once approved by the state, it will be forwarded to the Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry for final clearance. Initially planned as an equity-sharing model, the project will now be fully funded by the state.
The Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation has already committed Rs 1,500 crore. The corridor will link major zones like Golf Course Extension Road, Dwarka Expressway, Global City, and Manesar. Sector 56 will connect with the Rapid Metro, while Pachgaon and Kherki Daula will interface with the Regional Rapid Transit System. A separate line from Millennium City Centre to Cyber City is also progressing.
