The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has entered into a concessionaire agreement with Mallannasagar Water Supply, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ramky Infrastructure.
The agreement pertains to the execution of the "Godavari Drinking Water Supply Scheme – Phase II and Phase III," specifically focusing on filling the Osmansagar and Himayathsagar reservoirs with Godavari water to rejuvenate the Musi River. Implemented under the hybrid annuity mode (HAM), the project encompasses construction, manning, operation, and maintenance activities.
Construction is scheduled to be completed within two years, followed by a 10-year period of manning, operation, and maintenance after project completion. The total project value stands at Rs 2,085 crores. This initiative is expected to enhance Hyderabad’s water security and improve urban water management infrastructure.
