The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced a strategic partnership with Madison, the hospitality platform of Terminus Group and JV Ventures, to establish ten new Ginger hotels across southern India.
Madison will invest about Rs 500 crore in constructing these hotels, which will add over 1,000 keys within the next three years. The projects will include both greenfield and brownfield developments. The first hotel under this pact is a 75-key Ginger property in Genome Valley, Telangana, aimed at supporting the industrial corridor. IHCL stated the arrangement follows a capital-light operating lease model under the Ginger brand, designed to tap into India’s expanding mid-scale hospitality market.
Suma Venkatesh, IHCL’s Executive Vice President, Real Estate & Development, said, "The signing of this framework agreement for ten Ginger hotels across the southern states is reflective of this potential." Madison Co-Founder Jasmeet Chhabra highlighted that the rollout will span industrial and spiritual hubs, while SP Reddy emphasized the Genome Valley property’s role in fostering collaboration in the biotech ecosystem.
