IRCON International has secured a letter of award (LoA) from the Meghalaya Infrastructure Development & Finance Corporation, Shillong, for the construction of Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) across eight different locations in Meghalaya.
The contract, awarded under Package-II, will be executed on a design, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) basis at a value of Rs 510.46 crore. The timeline for completion has been fixed at 36 months. The EMRS initiative is a flagship government programme aimed at providing quality residential education to tribal students in remote regions.
By leveraging its engineering and project execution expertise, IRCON will support Meghalaya’s infrastructure push and contribute to socioeconomic development in the state. This order reinforces the company’s diversified presence across infrastructure domains, beyond railways and transportation.
