Ircon International has floated a tender for OHE and SCADA associated works of Urga-Dharmjaigarh in connection with new BG electrified Chhattisgarh East Rail Corridor Phase-II.
The work, valued at Rs 114.47 crore, focuses on comprehensive railway electrification works aimed at boosting freight and passenger capacity along a critical stretch in Chhattisgarh. The contract covers design, SETC of 2x25 kV, 50 hz, single phase, OHE traction system, switching posts, and encompasses survey, design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of traction power systems, switching posts, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) integration.
With a completion timeline of 10 months from the award of letter of acceptance (LoA), including the monsoon period, the tender underscores Ircon’s commitment to accelerating infrastructure development under Indian Railways’ expansion plans. The Chhattisgarh East Rail Corridor is a priority project for improved coal evacuation and enhanced regional connectivity.
