KEC International bagged an order
worth Rs.111.41 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India for supply and
construction of 400 kV transmission lines on turnkey basis.
The scope of work involves supply of
towers, line materials, erection and commissioning of transmission lines. These
lines are 400 kV DC QUAD Biharsariff-Koderma, 400 kV Maithon RB to Maithon (PG)
and LILO of 400 kV Jamshedpur-Maithon at Mejia.
The proposed lines are to be
constructed in Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal and are associated with
transmission system for start-up power to DVC and Maithin Right Bank Generation
Projects. The total length of the line is 160 km.
