The Karnataka Cabinet on 11 September, 2025 approved key measures, including allotment of 18 acres at Haralakunte village, Begur Hobli, Bengaluru South Taluk, to GAIL (India) to establish a bio-CNG plant with an initial capacity of 300 tonne per day, expandable up to 500 tpd.
The allotment will be on a 25-year ‘Permissive Use’ basis. The Revenue Department and Bengaluru Solid Waste Management will survey the land, while the Urban Development Department has been tasked with resolving operational issues.
Additionally, administrative approval was granted for constructing two 100-bed hospitals in Yelahanka Taluk’s Bellahalli and Hebbal at a total cost of Rs 100 crore.
