The board of Kovai Medical Centre and Hospital (KMCH), a Coimbatore-based healthcare firm, has approved the purchase of approx. 1.11 acres of land and a building in Sholingannalur from MTL Instruments, a division of Eaton.
The acquisition marks KMCH’s expansion into Chennai, where the newly acquired land will facilitate the establishment of a medical facility.
The acquisition, valued at “not exceeding Rs 60 crore,” will be funded through internal accruals and bank loans. In addition to the acquisition, KMCH’s Board approved leasing the same property from MTL Industries for an annual rent of Rs 3.6 crore.
Besides its flagship facility on Avinashi Road, KMCH operates three smaller peripheral centres in Coimbatore. KMCH, a multispecialty hospital headquartered in Coimbatore, provides comprehensive healthcare services across major medical disciplines.
