Marengo Asia Healthcare, backed by Samara Capital along with the Havells and Godrej family investment offices, plans to invest Rs 150 crore to expand into Maharashtra and Rajasthan. The company currently operates around 1,500 beds across four hospitals located in Delhi NCR and Gujarat.
Raajiv Singhal, the founding member, CEO, and Group Managing Director of Marengo Asia Hospitals, stated that the company aims to double its bed capacity from 1,500 to 3,000 by next year. The growth strategy involves a mix of acquiring standalone hospitals and expanding existing facilities. He also emphasised Marengo's intention to consolidate its presence in the North and West India clusters, with specific focus on Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan. Announcements regarding additional beds in Gujarat would be made soon.
The company is actively evaluating healthcare assets across India as part of its broader pan-India expansion plan. The goal is to strengthen Marengo’s position as a leading hospital platform by scaling its infrastructure through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions.
