Manipal Hospitals will establish a 350-bed multi-specialty hospital in Nagpur with an investment of Rs 700 crore, following the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Maharashtra government.
The project, expected to generate around 3,000 jobs, will cater to Nagpur and surrounding regions when operational in 2029. The MoU, signed in Mumbai, ensures the state government will facilitate all necessary permits, approvals, and fiscal incentives to complete the project on schedule.
Dilip Jose, Managing Director and CEO of Manipal Hospitals, said the initiative aligns with the network’s mission to make advanced healthcare accessible. “The new facility in Nagpur will bring high-quality, multidisciplinary healthcare closer to communities that need it most,” he stated.
The hospital will feature specialised departments in cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, oncology, and other critical medical areas, enhancing access to comprehensive healthcare services in central India.
