NCC has bagged a significant contract under the Mumbai Metro Line 6 project from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).
Valued at approx. Rs 2,269 crore (excluding GST), the order is for Package 1-CA-232 of the Swami Samarth Nagar to Vikhroli (Eastern Express Highway) corridor. Under this contract, NCC will undertake the comprehensive scope of work, which includes the design, manufacture, supply, installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of several critical systems. These include the rolling stock, communication-based train control (CBTC) signaling, telecommunication systems, platform screen doors, and depot machinery & plant.
The Mumbai Metro Line 6 is a key component of the city’s expanding metro infrastructure aimed at decongesting traffic and improving connectivity across the western and eastern suburbs. This contract win further strengthens NCC's presence in the urban transport sector.
