Siemens has secured two major orders worth Rs 773 crore from the Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation (MAHA-METRO) for the Nagpur Metro Rail Project Phase 2, including augmentation of Phase 1.
The scope of work involves the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of communication-based train control (CBTC) signalling technology and advanced telecommunication systems. The project covers 32 stations across a 43.8-km network. It is expected to enhance train frequency, passenger experience, and safety standards. The total execution period for the project is approx. 42 months.
