Nagarjuna Construction Co has bagged the order
for constructing a Rs.177 crore water treatment plant at
Kondandapur for the Phase II of Krishna drinking water supply project.
The tender committee of Hyderabad Metropolitan
Water Supply & Sewerage Board finalized the contract on 31 August 2005. The Rs.177 crore
treatment plant will be constructed by Nagarjuna Construction Co along with IVRCL
Infrastructure & Projects and SMC industries.
Pipeline of length 59-km from Nasarlapally to
Godakondla will be constructed with a cost of Rs.123 crore by another consortium
of Taher Ali Industries, Indian Hume Pipes and Bhooratnam Industries Ltd.
Pipeline laying works from Godakondla to Gunagal (59 km) will be taken up by
Larsen & Turbo at a cost of Rs.101 crore.
