The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has issued a tender for the construction of long-term remedial measures to address river cut and bank erosion along the Kullu–Manali stretch of the Kiratpur–Manali section (NH-03, formerly NH-21) in Himachal Pradesh.
The contract worth Rs 313.89 crore involves executing protective works at 12 identified locations—RC-18, A-RC-22, RC-20, A-RC-25, A-RC-26, A-RC-24, A-RC-19, A-RC-20 & A-RC-21, RC-21, RC-23, and RC-25—under the EPC mode.
These measures aim to safeguard critical highway infrastructure from frequent flooding and riverbank damage caused by the Beas River. The initiative will enhance road safety, connectivity, and long-term resilience of the national highway corridor, vital for tourism and trade in the Himalayan region.
The work will be executed within a defined completion period of one year along with a maintenance period of five years. The bid submission closing date is 02 December, 2025.
