NTPC Green Energy (NGEL) has commenced commercial operation of a 25 MW solar power project in Bhuj, Gujarat, effective 03 September, 2025.

This marks a significant addition to the NGEL Group's renewable energy portfolio, increasing its total installed capacity to 7,272.575 MW. The 25 MW capacity forms part of a larger 150 MW solar initiative by Ayana Renewable Power Four, a subsidiary of Ayana Renewable Power. Ayana Renewable Power is wholly owned by ONGC NTPC Green, a joint venture between ONGC and NTPC.

The new project contributes to India's growing renewable energy infrastructure and reflects NGEL's commitment to expanding green energy production. This development highlights the ongoing collaboration between key industry players to enhance solar capacity in Gujarat, supporting India’s goals for sustainable energy growth. The project is expected to boost clean energy generation and strengthen the region’s renewable energy footprint
