The Namo Bharat Rapid Rail Transit System, initially running from Meerut to Alwar, has been extended up to Bawal following Haryana government approval.
This extension strengthens the 164- km Delhi–Alwar corridor, which features 22 modern stations connecting Delhi, Haryana, and Rajasthan. The corridor links key industrial hubs such as Gurugram, Manesar, Dharuhera, Rewari, and Bawal, home to major logistics and investment regions like the Integrated Multi-Modal Logistics Hub (IMLH) and Manesar–Bawal Investment Region (MBIR). This extension aligns with the PM Gati Shakti Master Plan to promote integrated regional transport and is expected to catalyze industrial expansion, investment, and employment creation in South Haryana.
The project includes state-of-the-art infrastructure with high-speed trains capable of 160 km/h, air-conditioned coaches, ergonomic seating, USB charging ports, and regenerative braking technology. Construction by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) is progressing rapidly, promising reduced travel times, lower pollution, and eased congestion across the National Capital Region.
