The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) inaugurated its first International Academy in Greater Noida on 06 February, 2025. The academy, launched by Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary, aims to equip candidates with skills tailored for global job markets.
The facility boasts 20 classrooms, training labs, and residential accommodations for up to 500 students. It also offers career counselling and psychological support services. During the inauguration, Minister Chaudhary interacted with students and toured the academy’s training labs. According to NSDC officials, the academy will focus on providing specialised training in sectors such as healthcare, aviation, and employability skills. A key feature of the curriculum is foreign language training in German, Japanese, and English.
Students can pursue internationally recognized language certifications like OSD and Goethe (German), JLPT (Japanese), and IELTS (English). The academy has a goal of training over 1,000 candidates annually. It plans to support job placements through collaborations with international employers and industry leaders.
