1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

New multi-speciality hospital to come up at New Mangalore Port

Prime Minister Narenda Modi on 28 February, 2024 virtually launched three projects of New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) in Karnataka. The development of a 150-bed multi-speciality hospital stands out prominently among these projects.

The new hospital will be built under a public-private partnership (PPP) mode at a cost of Rs 107 crore near the exising hospital, and would be ready by September, 2026. It will be equipped with three modular operation theatres, one cath lab, and would offer speciality services namely nephrology, neurology and cardiology. The hospital will also have pathology, pharmacy and ambulance services.

The new hospital will cater to the needs of those associated with the port as well as the general public. It will extend all services available under the Central and the state government health insurance schemes.

The NMPA, has taken up construction of two storage sheds at a cost of Rs 23.78 crore. These two sheds, with 3,500 sq. mtrs. of storage area and combined capacity of 7,000 tonne, will give a boost to handling vital export import cargo.

The Prime Minister formally inaugurated the concrete road from Tannirbhavi Road to MK Agrotech in the port area, and the 14-mtrs. wide and 755-mtrs.long road will ensure efficient cargo movement leading to vital storage tanks.
