ABB has secured an order worth Rs 128.30 crore from PGCIL for a 400 kV gas
insulated switchgear (GIS) substation located in Navsari in Gujarat, to
strengthen the power transmission network in the country's western grid.
ABB will be responsible for the system design and engineering, civil works,
supply, installation and commissioning. Major products included in the order are
400 kV and 220 kV GIS, transformers and control and relay panels. The project is
scheduled to be completed in 2011.
