The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has
reportedly approved financial assistance of Rs 214.47 crore to Gujarat for
implementation of a project, wherein 20 major district rural roads in 19
districts of the state are expected to be improved.
The project is likely to provide double line connectivity to major roads as
part of the overall vision of the Gujarat Government to improve the rural
infrastructure. These roads will connect major agricultural marketing centres
like Unjha, Kalol, Bechraji, Dharampur and Jhalod with villages producing
important agricultural commodities.
