ABB bagged order worth Rs 145 crore from the Bhartiya Rail Bijlee Company (BRBCL).
BRBCL is setting up the 4x250 MW Nabinagar thermal power plant to meet the
increased power requirements of the rail networks in eastern and central India,
including the states of Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh and Madhya
Pradesh.
ABB's scope of work consists of construction of a 400/132 kV substation to
connect the Nabinagar power plant to the railway network. The substation will
have nine 400 kV bays and seven 132 kV bays and the company will supply 16
low-loss transformers of various ratings, to ensure maximum energy efficiency.
