L&T has bagged an order worth over $81.6 million (approx Rs 359.04 crore)
from Abu Dhabi Ports Company for its port project at the Khalifa Port and
Industrial Zone (KPIZ) in Taweelah.
The scope of work includes design, construction, testing and commissioning of
the electrical medium voltage (MV) power supply through a 33 kV power cable
network and three 33kV/11kV primary distribution substations, which will provide
the main power supply for the Phase I of Khalifa Port. Work is slated for
completion in May 2012.
The contract also involves construction of civil buildings with utilities
such as air conditioning, fire protection and lighting systems.
