Oil India (OIL) and GAIL (India) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening cooperation across the natural gas value chain to expand access to cleaner energy in India.
The agreement, signed by senior Directors from both companies in the presence of top officials from the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, marks a significant step towards enhancing domestic gas availability and ensuring smooth delivery to demand centres nationwide. The collaboration aligns with the government’s vision of accelerating India’s energy transition and establishing a robust gas-based economy.
Both companies will leverage OIL’s upstream capabilities and GAIL’s expertise in marketing and distribution infrastructure to improve national energy security and promote sustainable energy solutions. This partnership is expected to unlock synergies and create value for all stakeholders, further supporting India’s commitment to cleaner, more accessible energy for all citizens.
