GAIL CGD East Singhbhum GA has achieved a significant milestone by signing a landmark gas sales agreement (GSA) with Tata Steel.

This agreement involves the supply of natural gas to Tata Steel’s combi-mill plant in Jamshedpur and marks the largest industrial customer onboarding for GAIL’s city gas distribution (CGD) network covering areas like Varanasi, Patna, Ranchi, East Singhbhum, Cuttack, and Kordha. Under the agreement, GAIL will initially supply 31,000 standard cubic meters per day (SCMD) of natural gas, with plans to increase the volume to 43,000 SCMD in the near future. 

This partnership reinforces GAIL’s dedication to promoting cleaner and more efficient energy use within India’s industrial sector, supporting the country’s broader energy transition goals. The deal highlights GAIL’s expanding footprint in industrial natural gas distribution and its role in driving sustainable industrial growth.
