The Public Works Department (PWD) has identified seven land parcels across Delhi for redevelopment and commercialisation under the public-private partnership (PPP) model to optimise housing and land use.

The selected sites are Vikas Bhawan-1 (ITO), Timarpur, Gulabi Bagh, Kalyanvas, Probyn Road, Sindhora Khurd, Sindhora Kalan, and Bahapur. A PWD official said,  “The details of the land area and the number of existing buildings at these locations have been shared with NBCC. Once the PPP proposal is received from them, we will further process the project.”

The National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC), a government PSU, has previously executed large-scale housing redevelopment in Kidwai Nagar, Sarojini Nagar, Nauroji Nagar, and Kasturba Nagar. North Delhi’s Gulabi Bagh, Sindhora Kalan, and Sindhora Khurd collectively house nearly 1,200 government quarters, while Timarpur and Probyn Road colonies include 106 flats.

East Delhi’s Kalyanvas site has 70 Type-2 flats. Officials noted that many of these housing complexes are in poor condition and will be redeveloped into modern, sustainable infrastructure.
