The President of India, Droupadi Murmu inaugurated Yashoda Medicity at Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, on 26 October, 2025.
The President noted that continuous expansion of medical infrastructure, institutions, and services will help create a healthy, developed India. She called upon all stakeholders, including private institutions, to ensure accessible and quality healthcare nationwide. The 1,200-bed healthcare institution offering over 65 medical specialties, has been conceived as a next-generation, eco-friendly, and fully digital hospital. The hospital boasts world-class infrastructure, including more than 22 modular operating theatres, over 10 advanced endoscopy suites, and 252+ modular ICUs.
Praising Yashoda Hospital’s service during the COVID-19 pandemic and its contribution to the National TB Elimination Program, the President urged continued support for national health missions such as sickle cell anemia eradication. She encouraged the hospital to focus on research and collaboration in cancer treatment, and advance its mission of providing affordable, worldclass healthcare and enhance India’s reputation as a global medical hub.
