Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, along with AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal, laid the foundation stone for 3,100 multi-purpose sports stadiums across Punjab during an event in Bathinda’s Kaljharani village on 09 October, 2025. 

The Rs 1,194 crore project aims to strengthen rural sports infrastructure and nurture young talent by providing modern facilities for sports such as hockey, volleyball, football, and athletics. Mann emphasised that these stadiums will promote a healthy lifestyle among the youth. The initiative is part of the government’s efforts to revive Punjab’s sporting legacy, highlighting the success of prominent sportspersons.

Later, CM Mann introduced the Entrepreneurship Mindset Course for educational institutions, including universities and technical colleges, aiming to foster innovation and self-employment among students.
