Quadrant Future Tek has secured a new work order valued at Rs 128 crore from RailTel Corporation of India for the provision of the Kavach System on railway tracks of the East Central Railway.
The contract involves deployment of the indigenous Train Collision Avoidance System (TCAS), known as “Kavach”, across 607 route kilometers (RKM) of low-density railway tracks. The execution timeline for this order has been set at 24 months from the date of commencement. The Kavach System is designed to significantly enhance safety by preventing train collisions through automatic intervention in case of human errors or emergency situations.
This work order strengthens Quadrant’s position in the railway safety systems sector and supports the government’s broader vision to expand the use of indigenous technologies in critical infrastructure.
