Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) from West Central Railway for a comprehensive EPC project.
The scope of work involves the design, modification, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 220/132kV/2X25 kV Scott-connected traction substation along with switching posts and associated autotransformers (AT). The scope of work also includes the integration of SCADA systems to enable remote monitoring and control. The work covers the Bina to RTA section of the Bhopal Division and is aimed at achieving a 3,000 MT loading target, enhancing operational efficiency and traction capacity in the region.
This contract has a stipulated completion period of 18 months with a contract value of Rs 169.48 crore. RVNL’s selection as L1 underscores its strong engineering and execution capabilities in railway electrification and modern traction infrastructure projects.
