Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for the construction of the substructure of important bridge No. 50, situated over the Gandak River between Paniyahwa and Valmikinagar stations.
This bridge, designed with a Double D-type well foundation, will support a double railway line with RDSO 25T axle loading standard. The work, valued at Rs 165.54 crore, is part of the ongoing doubling work between Gorakhpur Cantt and Valmikinagar sections of the North Eastern Railway (NER).
The bridge, with a total length of 14 spans each 61 mtrs., will significantly enhance the railway infrastructure in the region, facilitating smoother and safer train operations.
