Rajasthan's Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari presented the state Budget for 2025-26 on 19 January, 2025, emphasising employment generation, infrastructure development, and water supply projects.
The Budget outlines the construction of nine greenfield expressways with an investment of Rs 60,000 crore, the development of 9,600 km of new roads, and the upgradation of 13,000 km of existing roads. The Deputy CM highlighted that the state's GDP is projected to surpass Rs 19.89 lakh crore in 2025-26 under Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma’s leadership. She noted a "40 percent increase in capital expenditure within a short span."
Additionally, Rs 400 crore has been allocated to provide drinking water connections to two lakh households, showcasing the government's focus on improving public utilities.
