Sarovar Hotels has inaugurated its latest property, Sarovar Portico Sriperumbudur, a modern mid-scale business hotel strategically located on the Chennai–Bangalore Highway.
This marks the group’s third owned hotel, following Hometel Chandigarh and Hometel Roorkee. With this addition, Sarovar Hotels, backed by Louvre Hotels Group, now manages over 140 operational hotels across 85 destinations in India, Nepal, and Africa under the Sarovar Premiere, Sarovar Portico, Hometel, and Golden Tulip brands.The hotel boasts 7,245 sq. ft. of event space, including Summit, a 4,770 sq. ft. pillarless banquet hall—the largest in the region.
Sustainability features include solar roofing, rainwater harvesting, and an in-house STP and bottling plant, complemented by SPR Kitchen and Chola Lounge for dining.
Ajay K Bakaya, Chairman, Sarovar Hotels & Director, Louvre Hotels India, highlighted Sriperumbudur’s evolution into a major manufacturing hub with the presence of global giants such as Foxconn, Samsung, Hyundai, and Renault. “Sriperumbudur is one of the fastest-growing industrial zones in South India, and we are proud to introduce a hotel that not only meets the needs of modern business travellers but also reflects our commitment to responsible hospitality,” he said, noting that over 50% of the region’s business comes from foreign travellers.
