1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

Siemens bags Rs.200 crore Sri Lanka order

Siemens received an order of around Rs.200 crore from the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), Sri Lanka for the modernisation and upgradation of the medium-voltage distribution network of Colombo.

The scope of work of Siemens' include augmentation of a 33/11 kv substation, supply, installation and commissioning of 390 air insulated medium voltage switchgear bays, 40 compact substations, 50 ring main units and 72 low voltage distribution switchgear from its facilities in India and Germany, apart from the supply and laying of over 200 kilometers of cables, the release said.

Siemens is also delivering a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA) for the load dispatch centre that will be equipped with Siemens Sinaut Spectrum control system. This system will gather data from 251 substations and connect them to a centralised distribution control center providing real time information at single point for effective monitoring and control of the power network.
