TKIL Industries, formerly thyssenkrupp Industries India, has partnered with Swiss company SoHHytec to establish a green hydrogen plant in India using cutting-edge artificial photosynthesis technology.
This photo-electrolysis method produces green hydrogen from renewable energy sources such as solar and wind, aimed at industrial applications. TKIL will serve as the exclusive Indian partner for SoHHytec’s equipment manufacturing and installation. The company is currently in discussions with sectors including steel and oil marketing companies to build green hydrogen plants on an EPC basis.
This initiative aligns with India’s National Hydrogen Mission, which targets achieving five million tonne per year of green hydrogen capacity by 2030 and reducing fossil fuel dependence. The partnership aims to bring cost-efficient, sustainable hydrogen solutions to India’s growing renewable energy market within the next year.
