Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation (KPTCL) has issued a tender worth Rs 150.86 crore for a combined package involving two critical infrastructure projects at Guttur and Doni substations.
Work A involves providing an additional 1x500 MVA, 400/220/33 kV ICT at the 400/220 kV Guttur station. This includes renovation and modernisation (R&M) works and the construction of a 220 kV single-circuit line on double-circuit towers for a distance of 0.120 km using Drake conductor. Work B pertains to installing a new 1x500 MVA, 400/220/33 kV ICT at the 400 kV Doni station.
Both packages are essential for strengthening Karnataka’s transmission infrastructure and addressing the growing power demand in the region. The project reflects KPTCL’s continued commitment to improving grid stability, reducing transmission losses, and supporting the reliable distribution of electricity across key industrial and residential zones.
