The Cauvery Neeravari Nigam has issued a tender for the modernisation of the Marur Branch Canal and its distributaries under the Haryali Rural & Block Canal (HRBC) scheme.
	
	With a cost of Rs 73.53 crore, the contract is expected to enhance irrigation infrastructure and benefit the region’s agricultural activities. The work involves clearing and grubbing the road land, demolishing cement concrete structures manually or through mechanical means and conducting earthwork excavation for the foundation using mechanical processes, laying in position cement concrete for all sub structures of building, irrigation works, sub structure works, and supplying S&S RCC spun and vibrated cast pipes. Furthermore, the work involves providing casing embankment using semi-pervious material to improve the canal’s functionality and water distribution efficiency.
