Japanese electronics and semiconductor company Tokyo Electron (TEL) has agreed to supply equipment and train the employees of Tata Electronics, which is building India's first semiconductor fabrication facility in partnership with Taiwan’s PSMC in Dholera, Gujarat.
The collaboration spans both front-end fabrication and back-end packaging technologies, highlighting the commitment to delivering exceptional support and value to Tata Electronics. By leveraging their respective strengths, it aims to accelerate development and drive innovation across multiple technology nodes.
The alliance will help TEL in achieving its execution targets, even as the company intends to begin producing chips from 2026.
