The Uttar Pradesh Government has approved the RFP and draft concession
agreement for the 150-km-long, eight-laned access controlled Upper Ganga Canal
Expressway project which is to be built on PPP.
The expressway will link Uttar Pradesh, from Sanauta Bridge in Greater Noida
to Purkazi, on the Uttarakhand border. The state government also okayed the
project cost of Rs 8,719 crore, the bid parameter, the concession period, the
land parcels as well as the toll policy of the project.
The last date for submitting financial bids is 5 August 2010 and all the
seven entities namely Jaypee Associates, IRB Infrastructure, ESC Apollo and
Isolux and consortiums of Reliance Infrastructure and Reliance Infra Ventures;
Shreya Infrastructure with PNCand Galstar, and Era Infrastructure with Sidmost,
which had submitted technical bids for the project in March 2010 will be
eligible for placing the financial bids.
