Ventive Hospitality, a hotel development and management firm backed by Blackstone and Panchshil Group, has announced a partnership with Marriott International to add six new hotels in India over the next five years. The upcoming properties will be located in Varanasi and Mundra, as well as Pune and Navi Mumbai, contributing around 1,600 rooms to Marriott’s growing India portfolio.

Currently, Marriott operates 142 hotels and manages over 25,500 rooms in India, including 16 ITC Hotels properties within its distribution network. The company has previously shared plans to reach 50,000 rooms in India within five years. Of the six new hotels, two will be owned directly by Ventive—a 161-room hotel in Varanasi, and a 200-room property in Gujarat. The remaining four, including one JW Marriott and three Moxy-branded hotels in Pune and Navi Mumbai, will be developed by Panchshil Group on leased land, with Ventive holding an option to acquire them under a pre-agreed commercial structure.

Ventive, which listed in December 2024, currently owns 11 hotels across India and the Maldives. The company plans to double its hotel room count to 4,000 over five years, with an investment of Rs 2,500 crore, including acquisitions.
