The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has allotted 26 acres of land to Jammu & Kashmir-based Shri Katyayani Metal for the development of a logistics park and warehouse in Sector-8, near the upcoming Jewar airport.
A letter of intent (LoI) was issued on 25 July, 2025 for the project, which is expected to attract an investment of around Rs 1,000 crore. “This project aligns with the authority’s larger plan to strengthen cargo and logistics infrastructure around the greenfield airport in Jewar, where a dedicated cargo terminal is also being developed,” said YEIDA Chief Executive Officer RK Singh.
The logistics park will cater to the increasing demand for integrated logistics and storage services, especially with cargo flights expected to operate from the airport’s first day. Unlike conventional warehouses, the facility will offer value-added services like consolidation, distribution, and advanced supply chain management infrastructure.
Officials noted that the location’s proximity to the upcoming airport makes it ideal for such development and is expected to generate employment and spur industrial growth in the region, contributing to the area's transformation into a logistics hub.
