Zoho Corporation has inaugurated a new research and development (R&D) campus in Kottarakkara, Kerala, reinforcing its decentralisation strategy and commitment to building deep tech capabilities in rural India.
The Neduvathoor-based facility, inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, can accommodate up to 250 employees and will initially focus on artificial intelligence and robotics. Zoho, which began operations in Kottarakkara in 2024 has also announced the acquisition of Kochi-based deep tech startup Asimov Robotics, a specialist in developing robotic solutions for hazardous and repetitive industrial tasks.
This strategic acquisition enhances Zoho's R&D focus in robotics and emerging technologies. Zoho has partnered with Kerala Startup Mission to support its Deep Tech Product Studio initiative and formed multiple R&D collaborations with local startups and organisations.
