1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

Here is an ongoing chronicle of orders bagged and contracts received by Indian companies during November 2005-December 2005 Both domestic and overseas contracts, in which at least one of the parties -- awarder or awardee -- is of Indian origin, are considered. A domestic (or overseas) contract is respectively one executed in India (or abroad), regardless of whether the Indian company has bagged or given the order. (Key: entity placing the order, entity receiving the order)

  • Nagarjuna Constructions bagged an order worth Rs.276 crore from Government of Jharkhand for the National Games Housing Complex Project at Ranchi for the forth coming National Games in 2007 at Ranchi. The work includes development, designing, financing and construction of 1,800 dwelling units over a period of 27 months out of which 1,200 dwelling units has to be completed over a period of 16 months.

  • Subhash Projects & Marketing Ltd bagged the order worth Rs.269.30 crore from Public Health Engineering Department (Government of Rajasthan) for the construction of pumping stations, water treatment plant and other related works for Chambal-Sawai Madhopur-Nadauti project.

  • Thermax Ltd, the cogen division of the company bagged two orders for setting up of captive power plants for (a) 36 MW for a company in the cement industry, contract valued at Rs.123 crore and (b) 20 MW for a leading sponge iron & steel manufacturer, contract valued at Rs.55.7 crore.   • Era Constructions in association with Rani Constructions Pvt Ltd bagged a Rs.63.74 crore order from Rail Vikas Nigam for civil works for buildings, bridges, foot-over bridges, platform earth work and electrical work in the entire Rewari-Ringusphulera-Ajmer section (Rajasthan) in connection with the gauge conversion project (metre to broad) on North Western Railway. This is Era Construction's first contract in the railways sector.

15 Nov 2005

  • Elecon Engineering won a Rs.86.5 crore order from Reliance Energy for manufacture and supply of a coal handling plant for REL's Yamunagar power project in Haryana. The order to be completed within 18 months includes two wagon tipplers, one stacker-cum-reclaimer and crushing/screening equipment. Elecon will execute the order in association with Tecpro Systems Pvt Ltd of Chennai. Elecon's share in the total order value is Rs.31 crore.
  • Era Constructions (India) has won two contracts worth Rs.67.09 crore. The first, valued at Rs.23.70 crore is from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University for construction of an auditorium and academic buildings at Udhampur (J&K). The second, worth Rs.43.49 crore, is from Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation for construction of roads at Manasa, Rampura and Bhanpura.

  • PSL has won a Rs.71 crore order from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation for carrying out three-layer polyethylene coating, and associated work, on four portions of the Mundhra-Delhi pipeline project.
