Heavy Electricals won a Rs.65 crore contract for supply of 650 high
tension (HT) motors for Essar Steel and
Essar Oil's Hazira refinery. Bhel's scope
of work in the contract, Prasad said, includes design, engineering,
manufacturing and supplying HT Motors and support during installation. The
company is required to execute the project within 24 months.

India, a subsidiary of Efkon AG, along with
Strabag SE, received orders worth Rs.28.05 crore to build and
manage toll management services for three projects. These include the
Bangalore elevated tollway, Chennai IT Expressway (six-lane) and the
Surat-Dahisar tollway. For the Chennai IT Expressway, Efkon India will supply,
install, commission and maintain the equipment, said a release. Efkon will
also supply its toll management system to the Bangalore elevated tollway.

HPCL-Mittal Pipelines for driven piling
for tanking area of COT Mundra for Mundra-Bhatinda pipeline project. The
project involves 8,600 nos 560 mm dia RCC driven cast in situ piles of 18 m
length to be completed in six months. ITD has also bagged a contract for the
construction of 600 mm thick diaphragm wall upto 22 m depth and 350 m long for
commercial building at lake Town in Kolkata.
